Motivation can go to hell.

“You do not get what you want, you get what you deserve.” — Sandeep Maheswari.

Yes, I have listened to Bob proctor, Les Browns, Tony Robbins, Nick Vujicic, Eric Thomas, Simon Sinek, Jim Rohn, Eckhart, and Deepak Chopra.

If anyone of them has changed your life, good for you. Thank you and stop reading this. Unless you want the cold hard truth.

Meet Homer. Homer just watched an hour-long motivational speech. Now he is fired up. He makes a plan on what he will do next. He is gonna write a journal and detail everything he wants before the age of 30. He does the visualization technique to practice the law of attractions. Homer believes if he has positive thoughts, things will be positive. If he thinks about the success he will be successful. After a couple of days, Homer forgets about the journal and goes on with his life, chatting and complaining about things he cannot change in his life.

One day, homer clicks a new video on motivation, and the cycle repeats. This is Homer. Homer is disillusioned.

I was one of the fanatics about motivation speeches. Boy, I wished to have that kind of perspective about life. Happy and successful. But after observing myself and my disillusioned friends.

I realized I was all full of crap.

Thinking about success does not lead to success. Action does.

I might even sound like I am trying to give an inspiring article. I am not.

Recently, a guy I knew reached out and talked about the importance of a positive mindset and starting a business. He advised me to take a business class. He advised me to start a dropshipping business. Do forex trading. Read inspiring books. I didn’t even ask for it.

It was interesting to watch him explain how a big shot he is. He was overtly pompous about his dreams. Eventually, he was “offended” by me for a simple question, “What have you accomplished ?”

Now I don’t give a shit about what your philosophy, religion, race, or country is. If you come in front of me like a big shot, I will ask you serious questions.

The guy ducked my question and explained himself, “I am in a process”.

Yeah right. Process of what? Dying.

I am not here to caress you. I am here to state the cold hard truth.

You and I will die. There is nothing we can do about it. But how we live it, is a different story.

People are allured into business because they see a flamboyant CEO. People get into the stock market because they see the stock price reaching higher highs. Just because you run a business or buy shares does not guarantee anything.

There is no quick and easy route when it comes to a worthwhile life. But a long and difficult route guarantees it.

If you are really serious about doing anything worthwhile here is what I think you should do. Have hardcore technical programming skills, get a CPA license, Read the Increto series, understand the macroeconomy, ride motorcycle & take your woman to a ballroom dance. (P.S Aron Clarey.)

But no, It’s easy to watch a motivational video and think you are successful.

Fuck off.

This is my wish & my blessing, may you find who you truly are & express it to the world.

Lots of Love, Chao.
