No, you are not good enough the way you are.

“I like offending people because I think people who get offended should be offended.” ― Linus Torvalds

Marisa peers come at us with the affirmation, “I am enough”. Her intention is to treat someone with an insecurity list of a dinosaur. And yes this affirmation does help someone in a fragile state of mind. But why doesn’t it last?

No, you are not good enough the way you are. Chances are you came to this article either being offended or curious about why it says so.

The reason you are not good enough is not because of the obvious reasons like your height, weight, facial structure, the color of your eyes, the shape of your lips, or the scar on your face. Which evolutionarily does matter in finding a suitable mate.

You are not good enough because you are a unique human being. This is exactly the reason why you can have a complicated outlook about your identity & how the world works. And since you are a part of a heard psychology you & even I can get easily manipulated by the marketers. We are also not so special.

Now I am not here to tell you about the spiritual, psychological, philosophical, or metaphysical mumbo jumbos that you’ve probably filled yourself with. Chances are it's full of shits. I avoid it because it will further escalate your current sense of insanity. Go Figure.

The point is to realize you and me, we suck. Accept it, now work to improve. Either we are flawed at presenting ourselves, refining ourselves, or realizing the essentials. Accept it & work.

One aspect is not better than the other. We all need to work on ourselves. And it is a never-ending process. Just because you can afford a new car, a new partner or a new dog does not mean you have completed your work. It never ends.

As dory says, “Just keep swimming”.

So how does a person work on themself?

1: The presentation part is something we have all been prioritizing. So continue finding your style & be intentional about what your appearance tells about you.

2: Realizing the essentials is done by consuming books, podcasts & other media voraciously and I mean voraciously. Of course, you fall into the trap of dog shit ideas every now and then. But that is the point. Eventually, you will discover the essential topics. Namely: Risk management, Maths, algorithms, federal reserve, scriptures, and a lot of jokes.

3: The refining process is something only you can work on. Not your parents, friends, and masters. Only you. The relationship with your parents, spouse, siblings, co-worker, friends ….. will become worthless in this domain. Who are you, when you are stripped of the identities you have accumulated? Don’t be sacred there is no right answer. In fact, there is no answer. If you need words to explain who you are, you did not get the point of the question. It is an eternal pursuit, IT NEVER ENDS.

Even if you were good enough does it solve your insecurities? No.

You become confident when you walk the walk. Do the mentioned work on yourself. That is true confidence. Not self hypnotizing yourself to impress a person or yourself into believing you can achieve if you believe it. Fuck, bull shit, get a life, get a job. Realize how hard it is to earn a living. But keep pursuing your purpose, keep changing, keep realizing how utterly arrogant and ignorant we are about ourselves and others.

And friends don’t think spirituality is some softcore butterfly feeling of love and caring. A true aspirant is someone who burns in his purpose. Self-serving and aggressive, who will not settle for anything luke. And he certainly does not need mere words to explain it.

It’s only after you’ve become self-serving, selfish and aggressive, you can realize service, benevolence, and peace.

Ultimately, As dory says, “Just keep swimming”.

This is my wish & my blessing, may you find who you truly are & express it to the world.

Lots of Love, Chao.
