When the spell wanes.

Do you remember The first kiss, the first night out, the first startup, the time riding a motorcycle?
It was all exciting until it was not. Your sheer anticipation of the act made you crazy with thoughts like, “it will make me happy”, “It will be fun”, “I am really going to enjoy this.”, until that moment.
In that moment of the very act, you said to yourself, “Is this it?”
And that simple realization released you from the spell. The spell that binds you of any rational thoughts. Again, This is not a topic of discussing what is good or what is bad. It is, what it is.
The first time you kissed someone romantic. The mood was right, the touch was comforting, a slow sensation of tingle aroused from your belly and back, he goes for a kiss and it happens. The wet and warm sensation of soft new experience. “Is this it?”, “Am I expecting any other sweet flavors here?”
The first time you did a start-up seriously. The energy was right, the team was hyped up, the strategies were set. The discussion was entertaining, the rapport was built. Registered the business, allocated the balance sheet, and boom go to work. “Is this it?”, “Am I expecting any acknowledgments? where’s the big return? ”
No matter what one’s experience has been, it is thrilling, until it isn’t. Until that moment of the act itself, one is anticipating something, churning the imagination, and building expectation of something. Until it isn’t.
So what is my take on this article?
I am not saying one to pursue or not to pursue anything. All I am saying is this, “It does not matter.”
Whatever your accomplishments, mistakes, struggles, success, relationship, accidents, agony, knowledge, and experiences. Nothing matters.
You are who you are, You will do what you will do.
But this does not mean you abandon the current state of you and your belongings and live in the woods. It also does not mean you to be superficial with your life and the people around you. You do not create a false persona of yourself as someone pursuing enlightenment. That's just bullshit.
All you do is look at it. Do this or Do that? Choose this or choose that? I am not here you answer it.
