Why we must question Everything.

I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.” Albert Einstein

First off let’s start with everything.

What is Everything?

It’s everything that we call “life”. It’s every “aspect” of our life. It is work, career, family, relationships, finance, education, banks, social media, books, entertainment, business, pharmacy, health, sports, economy, war, history, future. Literally EVERYTHING you were taught growing up as “Life”.

Everything also includes EveryOne. Your Parents, relatives, friends, influencers, mentors and you.

Here is a word for word excerpt by Steve Jobs who helped me comprehend “what is everything?”.

“When you grow up you tend to get told the world is the way it is and you’re life is just to live your life inside the world.

Try not to bash into the walls too much. Try to have a nice family, have fun, save a little money.

That’s a very limited life.

Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use.

Once you learn that, you’ll never be the same again” — Steve Jobs

Now, why must we question it?

I want to first pinch on a few of the topic to get us warmed up.

Why are we expected to get good grades? Why are we expected to behave in a certain way in front of “some” people? Why are we running to gather money? Why are we living in apartments? why are we awkward if we are not social? Why do we get appraise for our good, and punishment for our mistakes? Why are we expected to follow a certain career path? Why are we so prioritizing academia and not knowledge? Why aren’t we questioning what makes us happy? Why are we eating certain food choices? why are Psychedelics bad? why is going out to see the sunrise so mesmerizing? Why are we even alive?

Is it necessary?

I know every question triggered an answer. No judgment, but try to be aware of that inner voice. Even that’s made up of different voices of your friends, family, cousins, and other people.

Everything we call life is made up. Everything.

I am not here to say what’s right or wrong. There is no right or wrong. There is what’s right for me and what’s wrong for me. There is what’s right for you and wrong for you. It’s our choices. Now there are universal rights and universal wrongs. We cannot revolt against them, For example, eating whole foods makes us healthy, taking a walk, being grateful, the fire will burn you and the water will soak you. We should really be trying to bring our conversating to ask ourselves, “What’s right for me? What’s wrong for me?”

How do you do this? By asking yourself, “who am I”?

Now, don’t bring your guns out yet and comment on me being those guys with spiritual teaching. I am not. Even I don’t know who I am. I simply know I am. I am here.

Now the only thing I want you to take from this article is self-awareness, I am here. The next time you react to something, ask yourself, “Who am I being ?”. Angry, bitter, hateful? Can I choose to be compassionate, curious and calm? Then choose who do you feel better being?

I know we react, and that’s being human. Even I react in the ways I don’t want to but one of our superpowers is to reflect on ourselves. To be self-aware. If you have reacted, now you have three options: to release your reaction, apologize, and try to be self-aware the next time you are caught off guard.

Now, why should we be self-aware?

Because you will realize who you are at this moment. With this, we will come to understand what makes us happy. What is your existence in this dam planet spinning around nothingness.

Now, Please Please Please, It’s a reminder for you and me including, We must never ever take this human life for granted. For it’s a miracle to be alive. It’s a miracle for you to be here reading this person’s perception, it’s a miracle taking this very breadth, It’s a miracle listening to this sound, It’s miracle having these sensations in this body. It’s a miracle to be you.

Who knows when we will die. Now Armageddon asteroid may not hit us, but who are we to be so sure. It’s a vast universe anything is possible. What if an entire episode of human history was wiped out and forgotten? Graham Hancock says, “I believe we are a species with amnesia, I think we have forgotten our roots and our origins. I think we are quite lost in many ways. And we live in a society that invests huge amounts of money and vast quantities of energy in ensuring that we all stay lost. A society that invests in creating unconsciousness, which invests in keeping people asleep so that we are just passive consumers or products and not really asking any of the questions.”

I want to end this article with a note. What if we realized today, We can be anyone, be anywhere, where anything, love everyone and do anything. What if we bring this possibility in our lives? What if right? Now, let’s start with, “Who am I ?”

Thank you so much for staying with me till the end. Your attention means a lot to me and I appreciate it. If my perception can give you a better one, I will be content. Thank you so much again. You are enough, Lots of love Chao.
